1. Who organizes the event?

Toronto Community Housing, in collaboration with the City of Toronto and other community agencies, is organizing this event to inspire, empower and motivate youth living across Toronto to advocate for change on issues that are meaningful to them. We hope this event will create the momentum that empowers youth to have a voice and be part of the dynamic changes happening in the city.

 

2. Who can register?

This event is for Toronto Community Housing residents 14 to 29 years old. All youth who live in Toronto are welcome to register.

 

3. How do I register?

Please note: registration forms will not be accepted via fax or mail this year.

 

4. When is the deadline to register?

Registration closes on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at midnight.

 

5. If I show up on the day of the event, will I be able to register on the spot?

No. You must register before attending this event.

 

6. Is there a registration fee?

No.

 

7. When does If I Ruled T.O. start and end?

The event starts at 11 a.m. and ends at 5:30 p.m. If you are registered for a scheduled bus pick-up, your arrival time will be earlier in the morning so that you are signed-in by 11 a.m.

 

8. Will food be provided?

Food and refreshments will be provided throughout the day, including a continental style breakfast and bagged lunch. If you have dietary restrictions, please make sure you include them on the registration form.

 

9. Will transportation be provided?

A shuttle bus will be provided to take participants to and from the summit several pick-up locations in the west, central and east Toronto Community Housing neighbourhoods. Please make sure you choose this option on the registration form and bus schedule information will be shared with you closer to the event day.

The closest TTC stop is Exhibition Place. If you are commuting to the event via public transit TTC token reimbursement is available upon request.

 

10. Can youth attend without a guardian?

Yes, volunteers and staff from Toronto Community Housing and the City of Toronto will be on hand to assist youth throughout the day.
